Breast Augmentation Recovery Post-Operative Little Rock Healing

In order to prepare yourself properly for breast surgery, it’s important to have at least a basic idea of what to expect heading into it. Breast augmentation recovery is defined as the period of time following surgery where the body must heal before the enhancements can be fully appreciated.

The procedure typically lasts one to three hours. Then, after one or two hours in the recovery room, the patient is discharged to home. From here, the breast augmentation recovery phase begins.

The incisions for the implants are covered by strips of 1 inch paper tape. There is a large clear plastic dressing over the lower half of the breast. All of this will be removed approximately 10 days after surgery. A surgical bra is usually worn for four weeks around the clock.

Be sure to listen carefully to all post-operative instructions provided by board-certified surgeon Dr. Gene Sloan. For more information about what to expect during breast augmentation recovery, contact Dr. Sloan at his Little Rock office.
